This hostel was great! The staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, it was calm, was a 30 min walk to the old town, had a great atmosphere amongst guests, and was super close to a beautiful beach. I would 100% recommend this hostel. My only issue with this property were the showers. Unfortunately, due to the lighting within each stall and the sheer-when-wet fabric of the shower curtain, it meant that you could see people showering, and not just a little bit! Luckily, I had a towel large enough to hang over the railing so people couldn't see as I washed.

Great hostel. Kind staff. Comfy private room with great comfy mattress. Great facilities and lovely bathroom. Only 4 stars due to noise outside and window not closing properly do light came through the curtains. Easy to check in and find! 20 minutes walk to town and 5 minute walk to supermarket and 5 minute walk to beach. I would stay again and would recommend!

Owners are super friendly. I have best experience here. The bathroom, and restrooms are super clean. The kitchen got everything I needed. The bus stops are right in front of the hostel. The cleaning lady cleaning up all the facilities so clean and safe here The living room is large! What a great place to stay in Dobrovnik between old town, and city center of Dobrovnik!

My stay at Hakuna Matata Hostel was truly a fantastic experience! The location is excellent — very close to the Old Town, so all the main attractions are within walking distance and easy to explore without any stress. There is also a market and a bus stop just 50 meters away, with buses that quickly take you directly to the Old Town, which made getting around extremely convenient. The hostel is clean, well organized, and has a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and ready to help with anything — from restaurant recommendations to tips on what to visit in Dubrovnik. The rooms were comfortable, the beds were great for relaxing after a full day of exploring the city, and the common areas were perfect for meeting other travelers. What I loved the most was the welcoming atmosphere and the positive energy throughout the hostel. For the price, it’s hard to find a better place to stay in Dubrovnik. I would definitely come back again and highl
