I was very selective when choosing a hotel because I was looking for a place to stay for a longer period, not just a few nights. I found Sapana Garden Hotel completely by chance on Booking.com and I loved it so much that I decided to stay☺️ This place feels like a hidden oasis. It’s quiet, peaceful, and has a beautiful garden where you can enjoy birds singing, greenery, mountain views, and a rare sense of calm. Having a watermelon shake for breakfast in the garden, fresh after the morning rain, became one of my favorite moments of the day. And at the same time, you are right in the heart of lively Thamel, where everything is within walking distance: restaurants, exchange offices, cafés, bars, and small shops full of local treasures — hemp clothing, singing bowls, trekking gear, and everything else you may need. Sapana Garden's the hidden gem in Thamel. I've stayed in other hotels, but this is better than others - in terms of the location (peaceful without the noise) , the rooms, the cleanliness and most importantly the price. Had stayed there for just a day, but enjoyed a good night's sleep with a balcony view. Oh, and beware of the back gate, especially if you're tall..😆

We booked a room in Hotel Sapana Garden to stay for a night near Thamel as we had a return flight from Kathmandu the next day. The hotel has two accessible routes, one entry from Thamel side and the other from the Main road. The rooms were nice and spacious and had all the amenities we required. We found some shady operations going in the hotel itself but it was mostly the guests conducting it so can’t blame the hotel itself. Nevertheless we had a great stay and enjoyed our time there. P.S. veg options in the breakfast menu can be improved much.

Really enjoyed my stay here! The manager Saroj was really helpful and gave me a lot of good information! I went to Nepal with a bicycle and he helped me to find the correct bus and to bring the bicycle safely to the start of the route. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly!

We were very fortunate to stay at this hotel. Everything was convenient, and the cost was reasonable, especially for a large group with children. All the hotel staff were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. We were especially lucky to have Saroj, the hotel manager, help us arrange shuttle buses from various points for our self-designed tours to Bhaktapur, Lumbini, and Chitwan. Room was pretty poor, my view was a brick wall so there was no sunlight. Lots of mosquitoes as well. Staff was friendly though and location is okay, although there is much better out there for Thamel at the same price point.
