Our stay at Newa Home was comfortable. The room itself is spacious, with AC working well. The bed and pillows were comforting. They provide basic hygiene kits. The staffs were accommodating. The whole place looks beautiful, embedded with Nepali culture. The rooftop was nice too, great foods but mostly only stir-fries are available at night. Getting an uber is easy too. The bathroom can be improved, the hot water comes on and off sometimes. There were also 3 cockroaches in our room but it did not bother us. In addition, some spots need web and dust cleaning. Great place for its price.

The decoration was cool, unique, and interesting. Located near the road, so it can be a bit noisy with bikes and cars passing by. However, the staff were friendly and really helpful. The price was affordable too. Overall, a good place to stay!

I stayed at Newa Home for 2 nights and it was a lovely stay. From the first day, I felt comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. Traditional style. Very peaceful feeling. The rooftop restaurant is special. You can see Monkey Temple from there. I enjoyed sitting there with coffee & food. Food was tasty and fresh. Staff were kind and respectful. They helped me anytime I needed. Owner Nikesh is very helpful. I had to send some things back to my country. He personally took me with him and helped me send everything properly. He explained the process and made it easy for me. He is not only helpful, but also very knowledgeable and kind. He made me feel cared for and safe. People like him are rare. Everything felt easy and safe. As a female guest, I felt secure here. That is very important. I left with a smile. I truly recommend Newa Home.

I stayed at Newa Home in Kaldhara, Thamel, Kathmandu for 3 nights and I really enjoyed my time. The room was very good and clean. It has a nice traditional style. Very cozy feeling. They have a beautiful rooftop. You can see Monkey Temple from there. The view is amazing, especially at sunset. The food was tasty and fresh. The staff were kind, helpful, and respectful. Special thanks to the owner, Nikesh. He is a very helpful guy. I had dollars, so he took me on his bike and helped me change to rupees. He also arranged my 2 day car rental. Everything was easy and smooth. I felt safe and comfortable here. It felt like home. I 100% recommend Newa Home. If you visit Kathmandu, stay here. Room: 10/10 Food: 10/9 Service: 10/10 Staff: 10/10

We stayed at Newa home nearly two months in between 2 long treks. Nikesh and his team made us feel welcome and made all the necessary for us to feel at home. They took care of our luggages every time we were away trekking. Nikesh went above and beyond our expectations when we had some issues. The location is perfect, away from the busy roads of Kathmandu but yet close enough to walk a few minutes if you want a little bit more action and enjoy a good coffee or restaurant. The rooms are spacious, clean and you can enjoy the beautiful sunset view from their rooftop. We highly recommend New home for your stay in Thamel.
