Ich bin absolut positiv überrascht, so ein tolles Hostel. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist ein Traum, genauso wie die unschlagbare Lage und dazu dieser Preis, echt wow wow wow. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit , dicke Empfehlung und wenn ich wiedermal nach Dubrovnik kommen sollte werde ich definitiv wieder im Castello Hostel übernachten ☺️☺️

The hostel is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town, making it very convenient. The room is cleaned daily and always on schedule. However, no real kitchen—just a kettle in the room with some cutlery, washing-up liquid, and a sponge, forcing you to wash everything in the tiny, disgusting toilet sink. The bed is old, uncomfortable, and you can clearly feel the springs through the thin mattress. The communal area upstairs is pathetic: only a microwave, a sofa, and a table, with zero coziness or social vibe. This is Dubrovnik, where everything is expensive—including this hostel. For the price you pay here, you could easily get a proper hotel room with full facilities elsewhere. On top of that, the host ignored all my messages the entire day while I warned her I’d be very late for check-in, only replying the next morning. I was worried until I finally managed to check in late. Overall, a terrible experience and absolutely not worth the money.

Right in the middle of 'Old Town.' If you want somewhere to sleep, then this is the place - if you want somewhere to hang out with other backpackers, then it's not the place. There is a small communal area, but really you come here to sleep only and explore Dubrovnik. The rooms are good - good space, lockers, clean, fresh towels and the bed very comfortable. Bathroom is a little small, but the shower was great. Overall a great place to start your journey in Dubrovnik.

Quite good deal given the amazing location. Less than 20 m walk you have the main boulevard of Dubrovnik, a vibrant atmosphere full of bars, restaurants, people, monuments. The perfect location if you want to live the town intensely. The room was a bit small, but the normal thing for a hostel. However, you have a common area upstairs with sofas and a fridge, which is lovely! A great place to meet other fellow travellers.

6 bed dorm is spacious and clean. Good bathroom. I liked the fact that they cut me a decent deal, especially given the fact that other hostels want to charge 50 eur per night LOL. Communication was always professional and helpful. It's nice to have a discount in the downstairs restaurant for being a guest. I recommend having breakfast here. And the noise at night I believe is tolerable, I didn't have much trouble falling asleep. Only thing I would change is the mattresses, they are not very good.

The staff treated us unfairly and accused us of something we didn’t do. Water from the shower leaked onto the floor, and they said someone had peed there, which was not true – it was just water. They were aggressive and didn’t listen to us. We also didn’t get clean towels in the beginning, and when we asked to change them after two days, they acted like we were doing something wrong. The room was cold at night, and there was no proper heating. The whole experience felt uncomfortable and disrespectful.
